Everlasting Beginnings

I’m pretty behind on my LDS Printables, but let me tell ya, life has been crazy around here! We are moving again (this will be the 8th time in the last 4 1/2 years), so my house is a tad bit chaotic. Hopefully things will settle down once we get into our new place and get unpacked.

In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to email me or leave a comment of your favorite quotes from the April 2015 General Conference. I would love to hear the messages that stood out to you the most.

Today’s quote is from a talk given LAST April (2014) by Dieter F. Uchtdorf entitled “Grateful in Any Circumstances.” He says, “How grateful I am to my Heavenly Father that in His plan there are no true endings, only everlasting beginnings.”

Aren’t you grateful for that knowledge, too? How else could we survive the trials and hardships of this life without this fact? I love knowing that NO MATTER WHAT happens in mortality, if we are keeping the commandments of God, I will with my family FOREVER. Everlasting beginnings…

How has this knowledge blessed your life?

Belated General Conference Printables – April 2014

It can’t really be the end of June already…can it?? I had so many plans to get these General Conference quotes up during conference weekend. Sigh. Unfortunately, moving across the country with two toddlers consumed my life for the last few months! Oh well! Better late than never, right?

I am very grateful for living prophets and apostles who guide us in this crazy world that we live in. I trust that they have our best interests at heart, and I trust that they will approach the Lord to receive the teachings we need in our day and in our time. I know that God lives and that Christ is the head of the Church, and that He reveals His doctrine through the living prophet. I feel blessed to have been able to listen to conference and learn more about all of the things I should be doing better in my life, and to restore my hope and faith in my Savior and His plan for me and my family.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the April 2014 LDS General Conference (in no particular order):

“Pure Christlike love flowing from true righteousness can change the world.”

(I’m hoping to post some more quotes soon…but don’t hold your breath. My memory is shot these days with my pregnant brain!)

What were some of your favorite quotes that I missed? I’d love your suggestions~!

Unshakable Faith

I think the Lord works in very mysterious ways sometimes. It seems as if we finally reach a moment where things seem to be going just right, then a trial comes upon us. Have you ever wondered why? I sure have!

Henry B. Eyring gave an amazing talk in General Conference of April 2012 called “Mountains to Climb.” (You should see this powerful Mormon Message made from the talk here.) One thing he said in his talk is: “Now, I wish to encourage those who are in the midst of hard trials, who feel their faith may be fading under the onslaught of troubles. Trouble itself can be your way to strengthen and finally gain unshakable faith.”

I really believe this is true. I believe that hard times give us the opportunity to test our faith. The more we rely on God in these tough times, the more we recognize His hand and feel of His mercy and love. Our faith really does become “unshakable” as we become the benefactors of godly miracles. God knows what He is doing–He is helping us to reach our full, divine potential. He is giving us a chance to think about, turn to, and feel the grace of the atonement of Christ. He is building us to BE godly.

How have trials helped you to gain unshakable faith?
